I have been working in the casino industry for 22 years, starting off as a trainee croupier in Nottingham. I then moved forward to gain some experience by working in London, where I became one of the city's first female Dice dealers.
After taking the opportunity to travel, working with a cruise ship company, I progressed my way through to casino management and joined Caesars Entertainment UK in 2007. I found the challenge of setting up a new casino in an iconic building in Nottingham a fantastic experience, and gained a wealth of knowledge in my role as Casino Manager. This was a position I held until February 2012, after which I became House Manager.
When I was 20 I had big dreams of travelling the world. When a friend suggested I look for jobs in the casino, she had just returned from a cruise and when she described the life I would have, I knew that was exactly what I was looking for.
As fate would have it, a few weeks later there was an advert in the local paper for a croupier training school in a casino in Glasgow. I got the job and I have now worked within the casino industry for 22 years.
I have been working in casinos since leaving college and the industry has dealt me a kind hand. I had an amazing opportunity to travel across the world visiting many countries whilst working for cruise ships, before returning home to settle with my exotic romance, who is all the way from Essex! We focused again on our careers after our time out travelling and after a couple of years we moved north to Manchester.
