The Empire Casino is proud to be supporting SportsAid athlete…

RUNNER CANAAN SOLOMON

Primary school teachers advised Canaan Solomon, 20, to try club-level athletics when they spotted his talent for running on the sports field. Today he’s competing at international level and training seven days a week in his quest for athletic stardom.

A member of Woodford Green Athletics Club, Harlow-born uni student Canaan says he is driven by the dream of Olympic success.

“I believe the sky’s the limit so it excites me to see what I can achieve with the right amount of training, effort, and discipline. This SportsAid award from the Empire will allow me to buy me better gear, which reduces the risk of injury, and help fund travel to competitions abroad.”

Inspiration comes via Olympic gold medallist Mo Farrah, who attended St Mary’s University, Twickenham where Canaan is reading sports science, and world record holder David Rudisha who, says Canaan, is the best 800m athlete to ever live.

CAESARS AND SPORTSAID

Canaan is just one of the inspirational young athletes being helped by Caesars Foundation, the charitable arm of Caesars Entertainment, to fulfil their potential and bring Olympic and Paralympic medals home to Britain.

Since 1976, SportsAid has helped many of nation's most successful sportsmen and women, including Chris Hoy, Mo Farah, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Ellie Simmonds and Bradley Wiggins.

We are proud to stand alongside the charity.
